For many of us, photography can be a solo sport. We enjoy taking pictures, but we would love to share the experience with other people who 'get it.' PhotoTour DC actually grew out of one of those kinds of communities, so we try to keep several opportunities for kindred spirits to shoot and share. 

Shutterbug Excursions

Shutterbug Excursion is a Meetup.com group of photo enthusiasts who photograph great locations together. We choose picturesque sites in the area and take excursions to create pictures and community. Experienced, budding and beginner photographers are all welcome. All we ask is that you share our passion for photography. Help someone who knows less than you, learn from someone who knows more. After our excursions, upload your pics to continue our fun and learning.

Alumni Blog

Once you have completed any PhotoTour DC excursion, you join the community as an "alum." What better way to start contributing than sharing your images from your photo tour. See what others have contributed. Share your own pictures when you finish your class. The fun doesn't have to end when you leave.

Free Photo Webinars

Participate from your home, a cafe, or anywhere you can find an Internet signal. Every second Tuesday night of the month, we share during our Free Photo Webinars. We usually pick a topic, look at great pictures, ask questions, or share our experiences. Most of our webinars feature guest speakers, but every now and then we turn the spotlight on our members and showcase our own pictures.
