I just discovered a site called Bestcovery that lists the 5 best DSLR cameras.

These five best dSLR cameras represent the best combination of performance, features and value, and are ideal for buyers stepping up from their entry-level dSLRs or enthusiasts and advanced photographers seeking an excellent all-around performer that can be carried with them anywhere they go.

The list looks spot on to me. These are all solid performers.
